Soulhunters

Seemingly-immortal beings who wield dark and terrible power- the full of extent of which remains unknown. For many centuries, they were thought to be demons from a lower plane, set loose to wreak havoc on the realm and terrorize its people. Their ongoing mission, as far as anyone can tell, is to hunt down and exterminate specific persons across the realm. They are known to use portals to traverse large distances when needed, making escape nearly impossible for their targets.

Woe to those who would come between a Soulhunter and its bounty; there exists no record of anyone standing their ground against one, and living to tell of the deed. This fact does not, however, prevent some from trying. The Augurs of the Eclipse have, over the centuries, served as Destrea's only defense against these terrors from the beyond, claiming them to be invaders from a strange plane which exists in tandem with our own.
